New bike path approved in Tipp City

The Dayton Daily News reports that the city council of Tipp City has selected one of 17 bids from contractors for the construction of a bike path in Kyle Park. Construction is planned to begin on April 1 of this year.

The #CVNP #AdventureLoop never disappoints. #gravel #RitcheyAscent

I wanted to take advantage of the cool but dry evening, but didn’t feel like a “serious” #bicycle ride so I hopped on the #SurlyBigDummy for a cruise around my neighborhood.

My goal this year was to do at least one day of #BikeCommuting in March, but here we are barely squeezing it in April. The weather provided plenty of good excuses, but of course that’s exactly what they are. The #Route8Gravel #FallsGravel is pretty sloppy from the spring monsoons.

My #SalsaMukluk #FatBike was next in line for spring cleaning and tuneup this week, so tonight it got to pull duty on my after-work TGIF ride. Now that the snow season is over, it’s wearing the #29plus wheels I got from @baforrer @all_around_cyclery a year ago.

Checked out another new-to-me bike path today, the @col.co.parkdistrict Little Beaver Creek Greenway. Nice 13 miles each way with creek views, wildflowers, hemlock trees, deer, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. Lovely #coffee break @nourishcoffeekitchen in #LisbonOhio. #BikeTrails #ohio #RitcheyAscent

The road to Viaduct Park and the Great Falls of Tinker’s Creek (our usual #CoffeeOutside destination) was closed. So the nice patio of this @clevemetroparks golf course situated on the route home was a fine substitute. #BikeFriday #AllPacka

My #SurlyBigDummy got its turn last night for spring cleaning and tune-up, so I had to take it out for a test spin today, with a social stop @all_around_cyclery .

Perfect weather on the first Sunday of #spring made for a great day to #bicycle up and down the steepest streets of #AkronOH for the 10th Annual #OtisRoubaix Hill Climbing Challenge, organized by @dirtyriverbikes . This was my 2nd time at the event, and I felt like I went a lot faster this year, but it turns out only by about 7 minutes. That’s something I guess! Also nice catching up with bike peeps @missingfallsbrewery afterwards. Thanks to #QuietRyan for the pics!

I gave the @bikefriday #AllPacka a #SpringCleaning and tune-up last night, then made it out for n after-work spin tonight. I combined parts of the #CVNP Adventure Loop with a detour through the @clevemetroparks Brecksville Reservation.
