Southwest Clark County gets first bike path

A new 2-mile bike path was recently completed in the city of New Carlisle. The trail is the first bike path in southwestern Clark County. Read more details in this report from WHIO.

Stow applies for grant for bike trail

According to this article from the Stow Sentry, the city of Stow, Ohio has applied for a $41,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for a new bike trail to connect the area near the Staybridge Hotel property, and the Bike and Hike Trail of the Metroparks, Serving Summit County.

Although this is a pretty short route, it looks to me like it will be a useful connection between popular bike routes in the area, providing a bypass around the busy Route 8/Steels Corners Road interchange.

Bridge construction to begin for Chillicothe bike path

The Chillicothe Gazette reports today that work is schedule to begin on Monday, March 9, 2009 of a new bridge for the bike path that crosses State Route 104 near the northern edge of the city. Full story…
